Flooring in the modern office and commercial premises needs to meet the demands of a busy working environment. In these types of locations carpet tiles can provide a hard wearing decorative flooring surface that retains its good looks, whilst standing up to the abuse of office furniture and castor chairs. These products can be less disruptive to install in busy office areas and can eliminate the need to evacuate the whole area in order to install the floor covering. They can also be more cost effective to install in corridors, when compared with sheet products, as they reduce wastage and can be replaced easily in the event of damage. Safety Flooring- Slip Resistant Vinyl

These products are used in areas such as toilets, wet areas, science laboratories and commercial kitchens. Available in sheet form, they are manufactured to meet current British Standards and have been specifically designed to minimise slip hazards to address current Health & Safety requirements. These vinyls come in a range of gauges to suit different types of applications. To create a tanked system it can be coved up the wall to accommodate commercial floor cleaning processes.

Linoleum Environmentally Friendly Flooring

Linoleum is an environmentally friendly product that provides a very strong and durable floor covering. Manufactured from sustainable, natural resources such as linseed oil, pine rosin, wood flour, limestone and jute, it has the major advantage of being fully biodegradable at the end of its long life. This product is ideal for installation in classrooms, corridors and canteens and comes in a wide range of colours.

Fibre Bonded Carpets- Low Cost/Hardwearing

Fibre bonded carpets are particularly suitable for use in work stations or where other sensitive equipment is utilised. Depending upon the customers requirements these products can be of cord, flat or velour appearance and are available in sheet or tile form.

Impervious/Gel Backed Carpet - Low Cost Carpeting Solution

Impervious Gel Backed Carpets incorporate stain resistant pile fibres along with a backing that is substantially impervious to water. This product has been specifically designed to prevent water from passing through the carpet and causing mildew and rotting of the carpet fibres. Its impervious backing also prevents water seeping through and affecting the existing subfloor, thereby making it ideal for use in nursing homes, schools, care homes and other areas where there is a need to hygienically clean the floor finishes.

Contract Vinyl

Vinyl is available in sheet or tile form. When laid in sheet form and welded together to create a single element, it becomes moisture resistant making it ideal for use in areas such as hairdressing salons, canteens and commercial kitchens.

Entrance Matting

Choosing the correct entrance matting is crucial to ensure that it is effective. These products can vary a lot in cost depending upon the type of use it is expected to stand up to. Some mats are designed to scrape off dirt whilst others are there to wipe off moisture. The size of the area covered is also important as many people do not stop to wipe their feet and so the matted area needs to be adequate in order to reduce maintenance costs and to protect the appearance of the floor coverings within the building.

Stair Nosings

The term nosing relates to the protective step edge that is used on staircases. These protectors are drilled and plugged and bonded to the edge of the step to provide a firm fixing that helps to prevent the edge of the flooring wearing out. These can be used to provide a contrasting edge that complies with the DDA directives and should therefore be fitted to all step front edges on public staircases in schools, offices, public buildings, shops etc. Stair nosings are manufactured from aluminium or UPVC and feature coloured inserts to contrast with the carpet or vinyl thus ensuring high visibility.

Solid Timber Flooring

We supply and fit a whole range of timber flooring including interlock systems, directly adhered and floating. We also carry out all sub floor preparation work prior to installation. Solid timber is generally available in block form or in a selection of widths, along with a choice of finishes from lacquer through to oil.

Engineered Timber

ICF also supplies and fits engineered timber flooring. This is available in plank, 2 strip or 3 strip format with a choice of Oak, Walnut, Cherry, Beech, Maple, Merbau and Jacoba. These products are supplied with pre-finishes such as lacquer or oil. Where required, samples can be supplied to provide an opportunity for discussion on the suitability of the product for any potential installation.
